With the UK weather giving us some end of summer vibes we seriously recommend getting Sam Florian’s Avocado Daydream album and get ready to embrace it. Sam caught our attention with his chilled pop vibes so we decided to catch up with the Swedish based singer.
Tell us who you are and what is your sound.
I’m Sam Florian and I make bedroom pop 🙂
What exciting projects have you got coming up?
I have a few shows coming up and a lot of new music waiting to get released. I’m also producing and mixing other artists’ stuff. It’s enough to keep me busy during these weird times.

Where did you grow up and what music influenced you?
I grew up in Karlstad, Sweden, where I’m still residing. I listen to a lot of R&B and neo soul at the moment but I think I’m mostly influenced by other bedroom pop artists such as Clairo and Jakob Ogawa.
What cool places do you recommend to visit in your city (bars, restaurants, etc)?
You should visit Cake & Brunch in Barcelona! They make lovely pancakes and salads. If you’re a beer and food lover in Sweden you should definitely visit the beerhouses here. We have one in Karlstad and when I’m not making music or performing, I’m most probably there.
We love recommendations – what have you been listening to, watching, or reading recently?
My favourite show is It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and that’s all I’m watching at the moment. I would like pick up some Tolkien books though but haven’t made time for that lately.
Finally, what was the last thing that made you swear out loud?
When I found out that Trump might get the Nobel peace prize.
