Swedish RnB star Molly Hammar has been releasing some catchy tracks in 2020, including ‘Alone’ and ‘Get To Know Me First’ and it looks like we might be expecting some more music to come. We got in touch with her to see what she has been up to and what she has planned next!
Tell us who you are and what is your sound?
My name is Molly Hammar, I’m a 24 year old Swedish RnB angel. I grew up in a jazz family so that genre is very close to my heart, but my own sound is more inspired by early Alicia Keys and more RnB/ Pop. I love pop.
What exciting projects have you got coming up?-
Ohhh I’ve got so much new incredible music coming out soon, an EP and all that comes with it. I also got side projects but I’m 100% focusing on my next EP.

Where did you grow up and what music influenced you?–
Like I mentioned in the beginning, I grew up with jazz since my mum and dad are jazz musicians. I’m very grateful for that upbringing cause it has made me very humble and thankful for the power of music. I grew up in Stockholm where I live and growing up I listened to everything from pop to soul etc.. A couple years ago I discovered RnB on another level and totally fell in love.
What cool places do you recommend to visit in your city (bars, restaurants, etc)?
I love Stockholm, I would recommend grabbing a drink by the water at Orangeriet or have a good dinner at Tjoget in Hornstull. There are many nice restaurants here.
We love recommendations – what have you been listening to, watching, or reading recently?
I’ve been listening to Brandy’s new album which I love, also Victoria Monéts EP is incredible. Atm I’m obsessed with watching reality television, probably cause my life is very drama free and I sometimes enjoy watching people having not so intelligent conversations haha – Love Island UK is my latest obsession. Reading wise I’m looking for a new one so you tell me please!
Finally, what was the last thing that made you swear out loud?
If I’m honest I swear out loud pretty often for no reason but I posted a video on my Instagram where I talked about body positivity last night and it got viral and when that happened I 100% swore out loud out of chock.
