We hear from Heiðrik and Lea – the duo from Faroese band Einangran – as they release their new music for beautiful track Glashus. The pair tell us about where they are from and what they have been up to.
Where are you from and what are your favourite places to experience there?
We’re both from the Faroe Islands. Me, Heiðrik is from the capital Tórshavn and Lea has been living in Vestmanna and Tórshavn. I guess nature is our favourite part.
Heiðrik: I love sailing here in the summer. Summer generally is the best time on the Faroe Islands because nature here is quite ruff during the winter.

How would you best describe your sound?
Hmm, I guess you would say our sound is quite melodic and melancholic. Folk pop, I guess you would call it.
What have you got planned for the year?
We are planning to write a whole album. We just won for best song of the Faroe Islands 2020 for “Kanska”. We were really amazed by the reaction to the song. People love it.
So now we’re gonna write a whole album and we hope it’s gonna be done by the end of the year.
When can we expect to see you start to play some live music?
Haha well when all this corona s%&/ is over 😉
What can we do to help support your music and where do we need to go to do that?
Good question. Well we have just released a EP on iTunes and Spotify. So for now you can just share our music wherever you can. Support us by sharing us on social media!
Finally, what was the last thing you read, watched, and listened to?
We both just saw the documentary “Gray Gardens”. Such an amazing documentary. We loved it! Highly recommendable
